November 27 – Hanging of the Greens
Come join us as we prepare for the Advent Season by the “Hanging of the Greens”. We will start at am on Saturday, November 27.
November 24 – Interfaith Thanksgiving Celebration
The Interfaith Thanksgiving Celebration is now available online. The Hilo UMC Young Adults are part of the program.
November 25 – Thanksgiving Holiday
The last Thursday in November is a time that we gather together as families to be thankful for all the gifts of the year that we have been given.
November 11 – Veteran’s Day
On Veteran’s Day we celebrate all the veteran’s that have served our country with their military service. We will celebrate the Veteran’s on all Sunday November 7. The office will be closed on Nov. 11 and 12.
November 7 – All Saints Sunday
This Sunday we celebrate the Saints that have move on in their spiritual journeys.
October 17 – Laity Sunday
We celebrate membership of the Methodist church here and globally.
October 16 – Kokua Day
Saturday October 16 from 9am-12noon is our scheduled Kokua Work Day to do maintenance and repair around the church campus. Contact Trustees for assigned projects,
October 11 – Indigenous Peoples Day
On Monday, October 11 we celebrate all indigenous people. Here we celebrate the Polynesians who were the first people to inhabit these islands to become the “Native Hawaiians”.
